Dr Rosebella Namango has huge experience at national, regional and international levels having served in various sectors including the not-for-profit field, diplomatic circles, Intergovernmental organizations and government learning & training institutions. She holds a Doctorate and a Masters degree in the fied of Knowledge Managent, Archives and Library Sciences. Rosebella is a Strategic Information and Knowledge Management Specialist.
She is currently serving as a Senior Information Governance & Risk Management and Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor at the British Council in charge of Subsaharan African region. The region constitutes nineteen (19) countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Rwanda, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Sierra Leone. One of her key responsibilities is to Mitigate & review information risks uploaded on the Enterprise Risk Management System (-ERMF – JCAD) for the 19 countries as well as run the regional ERMF report for The British Council Executive Board & address the strategic information risks. She also monitors and manages The Monitoring and Evaluation budget of over 1.1million UK Pounds for the 19 countries of Sub Sahara Africa
Dr Bella, as she is fondly referred to, earlier served at Kenyatta University, Kenya, as a lecturer. She researched and designed teaching units in Information and Knowledge Management areas for the Department of Library & Information Science. Among other achievements, Rosebella launched the department`s first e-learning modules on the e-learning portal of the university as part of the e-learning pilot project.
Before returning back to Kenya from Moscow, Russia, Bella worked as a Data and Logistics Manager at the Weissker incorporation. Here, she was responsible for information, communication and logistics for the Russian Space Centre office, The American Lockheed Martin and International Launch Services companies. Hitherto, She briefly worked at the United States of America Embassy in Moscow in the the Community Association Office, where, among others, she administered and maintained an MS Access database for over 150 members of the Diplomatic Corp of the American Embassy and other eligible diplomats in Moscow.
Dr Rosebella Namango has done consultancy work for several high-end institutions including: Inter Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), World Vision (WV), Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI), Parastatal Pension Fund Tanzania (IPPF), The African e-development Resource Centre.
